Hanwood is a village in the central Riverina region of New South Wales. The village is located 5 kilometres south of Griffith and is in the City of Griffith Local Government Area.
At the 2006 census, Hanwood had a population of 583.
Hanwood is known for its wineries, in particular the McWilliam’s winery, established in 1913. The winery is home to the famous bottle shaped tasting room.
The village has a primary school, post office, general store/newsagent, club, Catholic Church and sporting oval.
